Dr. Sumudu Rajapakse is a highly skilled clinical cardiologist with a specialisation in heart failure, cardiac imaging, and cardiac care during pregnancy. She completed her cardiology training in Queensland, with rotations at the Gold Coast University Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Rajapakse further honed her expertise through fellowships in advanced heart failure and echocardiography at Flinders Medical Centre.

With a broad interest in all aspects of clinical cardiology, Sumudu focuses particularly on heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, women’s cardiovascular health, and the cardiac complications associated with pregnancy. She is proficient in performing a range of advanced imaging techniques, including stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, and providing crucial imaging guidance for structural interventional, and electrophysiological procedures.

Dr. Rajapakse also holds a consultant position at Flinders Medical Centre in the Cardio-Obstetrics service, providing expert care for high-risk pregnancies.
