Dr Shreyas Ravat is a highly skilled and accomplished cardiologist, currently serving as a Staff Specialist at Flinders Medical Centre. He completed a three-year physician training program followed by a rigorous three-year cardiology specialisation in India before undertaking a two-year fellowship in Interventional and Structural Cardiology at Flinders Medical Centre. During this fellowship, he was simultaneously reviewed for his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Shreyas’ diverse training across India and Australia provides him with a deep understanding of patient needs, particularly in valvular and ischemic heart diseases. He has developed expertise in structural heart therapies, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), PFO/ASD closure, LA appendage closure, balloon mitral valvuloplasty and transcatheter mitral interventions.
He brings extensive expertise in complex coronary interventions, with a focus on IVUS and OCT imaging, bifurcation PCI, rotablation and calcium modification techniques.
His dedication to excellence has been recognised with multiple honors, including being a two-time finalist in the prestigious Geoff Mews Memorial Fellows Prize at the Australia and New Zealand Endovascular Therapies (ANZET) conference. For this, he was nominated by the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) for the esteemed SCAI Fellows Course in the USA.
His vast clinical experience from India, combined with patient-centric care he embraced in Australia, guide him to decide optimal treatment plans.
For challenging cases he follows a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to achieve best outcomes. He integrates evidence-based strategies into his daily practice.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Shreyas enjoys spending time at the beach with his family, swimming, and following cricket.
