Associate Professor De Pasquale graduated with Honours from Flinders University in 1992.  He worked in Intensive Care prior to completing his Cardiology training in 2000.  He completed his PhD in 2003 studying the Effects of Heart Failure on the Lungs and undertook a Clinical Fellowship in Heart Failure at the St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.

Carmine is a Senior Cardiology Consultant at the Flinders Medical Centre and an Academic appointment at Flinders University.  He is a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) and the American College of Cardiology and is Heart Failure Board certified by the European Society of Cardiology.

Associate Professor De Pasquale has been on the writing committee of the Australian Heart Failure Guidelines since 2006.  He chaired CSANZ Heart Failure Council in 2007-8, the South Australian Heart Failure Network Working Group 2011-14 and the South Australian branch of the CSANZ 2017-19.
