Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring
Ambulatory Blood Pressure (BP) Monitoring records your blood pressure at regular intervals throughout the day and night. The monitor is generally worn for a 24 hour period.
How is the test performed?
The cardiac technician will take your blood pressure readings prior to the watch placement. The watch will then be fitted to your wrist while recording throughout the 24 hour period. You must not shower or get the watch wet during this time. The Cardiac technician will supply a return plastic folder.
How long will it take?
The fitting procedure takes approximately 15 mins.
When will I know the results?
Following the analysis of the data acquired duration the test period, a report will be prepared by the cardiologist and sent to the referring doctor.
